José Talleyrand Rodríguez was born in Caracas, Venezuela.
He has received graduate degrees from Universidad Simón Bolívar, Indiana University and SUNY Stony Brook performing research in science, literature and cultural studies.
In recent years he has published two novels, Sirena en Do Menor and Caballo Negro en Tierra de Gracia, and a book of short stories, Amores, Canciones, Estrellas y Pistolas.
A lover of classic noir and modern Latin American literature who likes to examine phenomena associated with social injustice.
He currently lives in the United States somewhere near New York City.
